Start with one target
The fastest way to improve a resume is to stop trying to make it fit every job at once. Pick one role, one job description, or one cluster of opportunities and optimize for that.
Then run a three-pass review
First, ask whether each bullet explains value. Second, ask whether each section is easy to scan. Third, ask whether the language matches the role you actually want.
AI is useful here because it can quickly flag weak wording like "helped with" or "responsible for" and suggest stronger, more specific alternatives.
A simple 10-minute loop
- paste the target job description
- identify the three strongest responsibilities
- rewrite the top third of the resume first
- tighten the summary and latest role
- remove anything that does not support the target story
That small loop usually creates more impact than a full redesign.
